H elping individuals achieve their health potential through client education is the heart of Melissa's career focus and has informed her personal journey as well as directed her ongoing education pursuits.
Melissa started her professional involvement in the health and wellness field through her massage practice, specializing in Deep Tissue as well as other therapeutic modalities, after achieving a National Certification For Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 2002. In the intervening years she would grow her practice: by introducing varied techniques, including a deeper study of structural and applied kinesiology as well as medical based massage; becoming certified in Thai Massage; working with National Football League and Major League Baseball players, as well as other professional and amateur sports enthusiasts; providing top-tier service to some of Hollywood’s A-listers; and engaging in multiple symbiotic relationships with medical professionals including General Practitioners, Doctors of Chiropractors, and Doctors of Acupuncture, as well as working closely with emergency room physicians and nurses associated with Touro Hospital in New Orleans. Melissa enjoyed maintaining a private practice, first in her home city of New Orleans and then in Baltimore, where she moved after Hurricane Katrina.

In the spring of 2008, Melissa decided to begin to branch into the esthetics field by completing the Von Lee International School of Aesthetics, Inc. program and becoming a certified and state licensed Make-Up Artist.
In January 2011 Melissa was recognized as a Certified Health Coach by the New York State Department of Education and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, adding nutrition education to her offerings for her clients.
Most recently, in 2018 Melissa was able to fulfill a long term goal and completed a full esthetics program in Honolulu, Hawai’i and is now a licensed esthetician.
Over the years, Melissa has completed a 500-hour teacher training program with CCY of Baltimore; dedicated countless volunteer hours in service to others; and constantly works on expanding her knowledge in the massage, esthetic and nutrition fields to be able to offer as much information to her clients as possible for each to take control of their health and wellness to enhance their overall vitality.
With decades of experience, Melissa is proud of the service she offers to each individual, and her ability to consider every one’s experiences to provide a custom experience in session.
